Taking baby steps, sort of

I never bothered checking on my airline miles accounts and travel apps all spring. Nothing would change. Instead, my destinations have been free, mostly within five miles of my house, where I could be in peace and quiet, free of a mask.

Onfoot has gotten me into an exploration mode with a better appreciation of my environment. I walk early in the morning as the sun is coming up.

Like today, I heard the comforting crow of the rooster in the distance and the disturbing cry of a fox even closer. ( I hope the neighbor's chickens make it safely). The mourning doves were cooing, and all the deer on my route were waiting in anticipation. One cooperated, and I got a beautiful shot of him with the sunlight shining through the grass.
