1. Go down to the harbor and watch the fishermen come in with their catches and sell fresh product right there. It’s the natural way of life.
2. Eat a traditional Salvadorian breakfast of eggs, beans and rice, fruit, cheese slices, plantains and of course, coffee on the patio.
3. Wander in the Suchitoto village square and you just might see a wedding at the cathedral like I did. Folks are taking it easy and enjoying the company of friends and family.
4. Stop for pupusas at a local stand - corn tortillas filled with beans, cheese, pork, or any combo. It’s the national dish.
