Paper maps, Google maps?

If you grew up depending upon a map or atlas, have you been able to transfer to Google maps and GPS directions?

Or, do you use a combination of both?

Since I was a little girl, I have had a fascination for maps in one form or other, and just this winter bought a Lonely Planet Atlas so I could chart my excursions and dreams from my own living room.

Old habits die hard.

I have learned to use my iPhone while driving to locate a place and on walks in unfamilar cities. Still, I would hate to see maps become obsolete.

There is comfort in sitting down planning with a map.
